Course duration and objective

This course is 2 hours

This course is aimed at people who are involved in sports or outdoor activities such as leading camps or trips. We train candidates how to deal with some of the typical injuries or illness that can occur with people participating in sports or outdoor activities such as teambuilding, trekking, camping etc.

Course content

Assessing situations so you can stay safe, act promptly and know what to do
Recognising if someone has fractured a bone and how to treat it
Recognising and treating asthma, burns and scalds
Knowing how to deal with someone who receives a head injury
Recognising and treating strains and sprains
Knowing what to do if someone has a serious wound

Assessment and Qualification

Candidates will be supported and assessed throughout the course
Successful candidates will receive our ‘First Aid for Sport and Outdoor Activities’ qualification
This certificate is valid for three years
