BLS and Emergency Aid – Children

Course duration and objective

This course is 3 hours

We train candidates how to assess if a child is not breathing and how to perform CPR. We’ll also show you how a defibrillator can help with CPR. We know this can be very stressful so we’ll also give you some guidance on how to cope and how to manage a situation like this. We will then train you to recognise and treat Seizures, Drowning and Choking.

Course content

Assessing situations so you can stay safe, act promptly and know what to do
Recognise if a child is not breathing
Perform CPR on a child
Knowing when to call for an ambulance
Seeing how a defibrillator can help with CPR
Recognition and treatment of seizures, drowning and choking

Assessment and Qualification

Candidates will be supported and assessed throughout the course
Successful candidates will receive our ‘BLS and Emergency Aid – Children’ qualification
This certificate is valid for three years
